A new look for Resourcecloud

Over the last few weeks we rebuilt how Resourcecloud looks and feels. Nothing about what you can do has changed, but almost every page you use daily is now clearer, calmer and more consistent.

A new look for Resourcecloud

One design language: cards

Until now, many pages grew their own style. Now they share one: cards with clear headings, generous spacing and a single rule under the page header. Numbers and charts on dashboards count up and fade in, so a page feels alive without getting in your way.

The same design now runs through the whole product, from billing and meetings to customers, teams and programs.

The pages you use most

  • My Tasks is a new worker overview. Select all tasks in a section, run bulk changes from a clean card instead of a cramped form, and see what is due at a glance. Team overview, task pool and backlog use the same layout.
  • The task editor is card-based. Menus and popovers follow your theme, saving no longer reloads the page, and subtasks sit in a rail next to the task.
  • New project page. Two columns, and "Internal" is now a simple switch.
  • Stages show how a task flows from one stage to the next, with arrows, and you can force another worker or choose where a new stage is inserted.
  • Meetings, customers and billing moved to the card design too. The meeting planner got an extra pass: the availability chart opens on its own, and you step through slots instead of typing start and end times.

Dark mode that is easy on the eyes

A new user now starts on the Auto theme. We also made the dark themes calmer: less blue tint, a neutral grey Kanban board, darker dashboard cards, and scrollbars, checkboxes and dropdowns that follow the theme instead of flashing bright white. Even the workflow designer and the demo entry page respect a dark system setting.

Many small things

  • The header is tidier: the full-screen button and the recent-projects dropdown are gone, and the user header now shows email and phone.
  • Settings only say "saved" when they really were saved.
  • Stray double rules under headings and escaped characters (&) in section titles are fixed.
